Prakash Baskaran is a serial entrepreneur and founder of Pawaa. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT field in various roles, including ecommerce, B2B marketplaces, web applications, encryption, data leak prevention and file security. Prakash and Pawaa were selected to join Cisco Entrepreneurs in Residence (Cisco EIR) in 2014.
Prakash, as CEO of Pawaa, is solving the most critical challenges of file security with an innovative key management and file container technology. Previous encryption technologies were complicated and difficult to use. Prakash launched SecurelyShare, an easy to use and uniform file security solution, to make robust encryption available to all users. SecurelyShare is backed by several patents (filed and granted).
Prior to Pawaa, Prakash was founder of five other startups in the areas of VoIP services, HR/CRM solutions and B2B marketplaces. He has several years of work experience in industry-leading organizations such as AT&T, Lucent and IBM.
Prakash has an M.S. degree from the University of Akron and an M.B.A from Southern Methodist University.
